COMPARATIVE STUDY OF ENGLISH AND UZBEK PROVERBS ABOUT NATURAL PHENOMENA

Abstract

This article talks about proverbs in English and Uzbek languages that reflect natural phenomena. Also, the article reflects the comparative study of English and Uzbek proverbs related to natural phenomena by several scientists. In this, the main emphasis is given to the English sayings of nature given by the names of the months, and the table of Uzbek proverbs is also reflected. English nature sayings are divided into parts according to the months of the year, and grammatical and semantic comments are added to them. It is no secret that proverbs and expressions related to natural phenomena created in the Uzbek language have a long history, and it is highlighted in the article how attractive and admirable they are. In the past, our forefathers used to say these words of wisdom after a long observation, and they have not lost their charm today.
