THE TRANSFORMATION OF NATIONAL COSTUMES IN THE QASHQADARYO OASIS

Abstract

This article analyzes the transformation of national costumes in the Qashqadaryo Oasis. At the beginning of the 20th century, the local population preserved traditional clothing, and while men’s and women’s attire largely retained ancient traditional forms, some new modern styles and elements influenced by Russian fashions were also adopted.
