ANALYZING CURRENT INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS CHALLENGES AND THE ROLE OF INTERNATIONAL LAW IN ADDRESSING THEM
Abstract
This article analyzes current international human rights challenges, highlighting issues such as systemic racism, political repression, gender inequality, refugee crises, and restrictions on freedom of expression. It examines the role of international law, including key treaties and conventions, in addressing these challenges. Despite the existence of legal frameworks, the study reveals significant gaps in enforcement and accountability, often hindered by political will and state sovereignty. The findings emphasize the need for a coordinated global response and the adaptation of international law to emerging challenges, particularly in the context of technological advancements impacting human rights.
