THE ROLE OF VIDEO MATERIALS IN LEARNING ENGLISH: A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS
Abstract
This article explores the role of
video materials in learning English,
highlighting their impact on language
acquisition, vocabulary retention, listening
comprehension, and cultural understanding.
Through a mixed-methods study involving 50
English language learners, the effectiveness of
video-based learning activities was
investigated. Results indicate a significant
improvement in participants' language skills
after engaging with video materials,
emphasizing the importance of visual and
auditory stimuli in enhancing language
learning outcomes. The study underscores the
benefits of using videos to create immersive
learning experiences, bridge language gaps,
and foster cultural competence. Strategies for
optimizing the use of video materials in
English language learning are discussed.
