Abstract

Not only in modern times, but also since ancient times, relations between the countries of the Middle East region have played an important role. The center of the world civilization also corresponds to this region. The first manifestations of statehood also belong to this region. The Middle East is often called the “crossroads of the world”. This term was given because it is considered the region of origin of three religions: Christianity, Islam and Judaism, which are practiced by half of the world's population. Therefore, the Middle East is the gateway to India, the Far East, Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Europe. This is a sufficient reason for the region to become the center of the conflict of interests of major countries in terms of geopolitics, and today it remains a strategically, economically, politically, culturally and religiously important region.
