Abstract

In the irrigated areas of the regions of Uzbekistan, the sum of effective air and soil temperatures is sufficient for the vegetative (sowing-harvesting) period of winter wheat crops, but the sum of temperatures during the winter dormancy period does not create an opportunity for the wintering of the plant, that is, the generative-reproductive (harvesting-full ripening) period, except for the Khorezm, Jizzakh, and Andijan regions, in the Surkhandarya region. Due to the increase in the sum of effective temperatures in the current climatic period compared to the base climatic period, an extension of the winter wheat vegetation period is observed. This requires a reconsideration of the wheat sowing period in the regions. These data can be used to assess the heat supply of agricultural plants during the vegetation period.
